Ok Guys, I've got a park 370, 4100 KV on my elite CP. I am using 7.4 V lipo bats, and the thing just will not climb. I have tried screwing with the pictch and I think that I have the best performance possible from screwing with that. I have an 11 tooth pinion now. Will getting a 12 or 13 toth minion help me increase the heaqdspeed and thus get better than 4 feet off the ground?

Thanks
Josh

Hey,

From experience & what I've read here you really need to go up in battery volts from the pack.

Originally the CP came with a 9.6 volt Ni-Mh pack & your trying to use a 7.4 volt one, already your under powered.

Use the money to buy an 11.1 volt Lipo & be happy when your CP leaps in the air like a scalded cat!

Well the problem with that is the 11.1 volt will quickly deestroy my direct drive tail motor, sooooooo,.......... I asked this before, but will dcreasing hte endpoint in my computer radio be an effective way to limit the voltage going to the tail motor? I guess I'll just have to try this with the volt meter, and see if I can get it down.

Thanks
Josh

Zener Diode will solve tail motor voltage problem It will clip the voltage across the motor at the zener voltege. Anyhow I just thought I would share this since someone was asking about it in another thread the other day.

OK. They will last for a while. I have only ever burned one out. All the others get damaged in a crash before they burn out.

The life of the motor depends a great deal on how you fly, and the tail esc you use. A good high freq esc, like the pixie7p or Trec work much better than the cheap GWS units.

Also remember the tail motor isn't running at full speed for extended periods of time, like it may do in a plane.

Either way you need 3S pack for the CP hummer to fly.
