Hi..

I have a T-rex. I bought this from RR member.

I set up the heli with my 9CHP.
But every time I throttle up,the motor "cuts off"after a few seconds, even with fresh charged batteries.

Can't find the reason.

If you know, please let me know...

Here is my set up.
T-Rex 450X
Hacker B20-15L with heat sink
CC-35 amp speed controller
Two Thunder Power 2100 3-cell packs
3 HS-56 Servos
1 HS-50 servo with mod
GY-401
Berg 6-G III on channel 55

Try disabling "Current Limiting." Several including myself have had to do that to avoid the problem you are having.

Gary is right.

First disable the CC ESC current limit feature.

Second, find out what voltage the ESC has been setup to cut off at. It has a voltage monitor to save your batteries from being discharged too deeply. If this setting is wrong, and/or there is a problem in the wiring, the ESC may be shutting you down due to what it thinks is a low voltage setting.

Third -- maybe related to number 2, the batteries may be sick (except I wouldn't expect this behavior with two different packs, unless they are both over the hill, which isn't all that likely).

Fourth -- if the ESC senses that the receiver is getting glitched, the ESC will shut down the motor.

That's about the four things that could cause your trouble, listed in the most likely order.

I set up option 5 which is 9.0V cutoff voltage.

Do I have to reduce more? Manual recommeded 3cell lithium packs option 5.

If you have disabled the current limit shutdown feature, then bump the cut off voltage down and see it that works.

But, do the current limit disable first.
