Still bamn good engines but unfortunatley have been left a little behind in engine developments regarding power output etc Never know, one day they make a return, and become popular again !!

Since the take over I think they have abandoned the helicopter versions of their engines

But why do people have trouble tuning a Webra which has a very similar carb?

Must be partly cos we are using a heli, I tuned the SuperTigre on the ground at full throttle 1st, then did the idle.

Can't do it that way on a heli and it's a little bit more involved anyway (hover, head speed, idle curves, heat/cooling, etc)

why do people have trouble tuning a Webra

When the needle threads are very fine, such as the ST carbs have, (TT motors also) people turn the needle a few clicks, don't really see a change, then give up. Everyone wants to treat all motors as if they are OS motors, where the threads are coarse, and a couple clicks makes a difference. The Webra TN carbs were always short on fuel in the mid-range. I have no idea what the new Webra carbs are like. My Webra experience is with the Schluter/Webra motors, of days gone by.
