Hi all.. I am pondering on if I bought the wrong remote or not.. I need some advice please!!! I just bought the RD6000 Sport (did not know there was a Super in this remote). I currently have a Futaba 6XAS.. Which remote is going to be better for helis??? Seems to me like the 6XAS has one more funtion then the RD6000 does, being the swash selector.. Otherwise they are the same.. Though with the RD6000 I can use any rx I want.. Just wanting to know which to keep and which to sell.. Many thanks for your input..

Started this topic over.. I ask that you please just stick with the topic.. As much as I like to converse with you all I really need advice on which remote to sell.. As I need the fund to cover other heli items..

Many Thanks All..

what do you mean by "swash selector"?

Now, I've had an RD6000 and it was a darn good radio, I haven't had a 6XAS, but I know fly a 9C (totally different I know). The Futaba 9C is awesome and in my opinion well worth the extra money. You might need a radio with more functionality for things like governors and stuff later on.

Between the RD6000 and the 6XAS, personally I'd go for the RD - it's a neat radio and has a nice feel. What about the Futaba 7ch? I'd go for that over the RD though.

Good luck!

They are about the same radio, however, because of the way Futaba handles the programming, Idle Up absolutely sucks on the 6X. Even though the RD Sport only has three curve points, you have FULL control over them in all flight modes. That plus the receiver flexibilty so I'd go with the RD.

Or.... You could sell them both off on Ebay or something and get something better.

Hmm.. it thought the RD had 5 point curves? Mine does.. maybe its a differant series of 6000. 3 point curves though are pretty much hated

RD super has 5 point curves....sport has only 3. Rd is far better than the 6xas.....out of the 2 keep the RD series

Good deal thankyou all for your replies.. I was going on the RD6000 myself too.. So I guess I will stick the 6XAS on ebay then.. Many thanks again guys.. Ohh the swash slector lets you select from 4 different types of swash plates.. But since I only run 1 as most of you all do, it does not make a differance as I dont use this function anyways..

The ff6 really is very limiting , (it only just does the job) I have quite a bit of experiance of both of these and imho, the 6000 is twice the radio

I just bought an RD6000 Super. It's my first computer radio and I found it very easy to figure out and set up. I've always had very good luck with ATX equipment. never much cared for Fatuba Not that they don't make some good stuff, I just never liked them.

I did not have the RD6000, but when I bought my heli I had a Futaba 6XA that I wanted to use. I did not like it at all, so before I got in the first flight, I bought a 9CH radio. I don't think I will ever need another radio.
So, stick with the RD6000.
