Will this regulate down to 5.1V? It says on there website it will only go down to 5.6.

Is it available already, last time I talked with Kurt it was not out...

In fact, it regulates with 2 output I think. One for the tail and the other for other servos. Both having different voltages.

Funny, I spoke to Kurt yesterday and he said they still have a little more work to go on new dual voltage heli regulator.

If you’re speaking of the new "dual regulator" Fromeco is developing, no it's not available quite yet. But if you want a regulator (switched or not) yes they are available down to 5.1 V if you ask Fromeco for them. I have two of them.

So how does a dual regulated output work, since the power normally goes via the Receiver which provides a common power bus?

Hope they get it soon

I've bought their "regular regulator" and it is a very nice device.

I bought two regulators several months ago that Kurt said were regulate-able down to 4.9 or something like that. He said he made them specifically with heli guys in mind. They work GREAT. Not even a blip. I would recommend the Fromeco stuff over all others for performance AND value.

If you knew me better, you would know how difficult it is to get me to give praise that high!

Dual output
Talked to Mike at Fromeco last week.
The new dual output needs more field testing, but is "ready".

These guys are really top notch IMO.
The current regs work, but since one crash COULD have been contributed to the regulator they have since made some changes to address the potential problem.

I am sending off my regulator to them and agreed to field test one of the new ones for them since I am fairly local and we can meet face to face for feedback if needed.

I was not speaking of the dual reg. I just want my whole system down to 5.1V. The site says the reg. can only go down to 5.6V. I emailed kurt and he said it would be no problem to get a reg that would go down to 5.1V.

thanks,
Paul

You will not have a problem at all. They will do 5.1 volts or even a little lower. You will LOVE them. Massive heat sink. High current rating. Reliable. Proven. All that and a good value.

I don't necessarily want dual-voltage myself, I just want the Fromeco setup without the potential compatibility issues that are mentioned in this thread:

Call them
If you are concerned about what was said in that thread then call Kurt or Mike and talk to them.
They will explain what happened and what was done to troubleshoot it.
The dual output is a result of that.
