I am interested in a Toki 40 for my Hawk but am not hearing much about it on here. For those using it, are there any concerns or complaints? How is the muffler? Quiet or loud? Does it make more power than the Os 37?

Thanks for any input.

the toki engine and muffler is about the same cost as the 37
if price is a concern go toki if not go for one of the finest engines
ever made the OS 37

do a search on it. Many posts about the 37

.

Muffler isn't too loud, never seen an OS37, but judging by what people have said, they're about the same. Can't say much on tuning, as I'm working on it, and that is where my heli skills are lacking the most. But it's running better than the OS32 that's for sure.

Physics nut,

How does your Toki start? Easy? I have heard they have alot of compression. Does it idle good? My Os 32 in will not idle low enough without loading up and stalling.

Lately it's started first time every time. Idle has not been a problem for me. I'm trying to find the sweet spots for the main and idle needles, and honestly I kind of suck at it. I've got an expert buddy I'm going to see in a week or so, and I'm sure he'll probably straighten me out with a few minutes. The compression is high, but the torque master 90 will spin it without too much trouble as long as it was charging the night before. If not, it doesn't do much.
