Dr.Ben rrMaster Richmond, VA, USA | If you have an older fan, the kidney bean cut out narrows in a little in the middle. It makes it VERY tough to install the hard dampers. Newer fans less than about 2 years old have a constant width cut out. The dampers drop right into those fans.Options: Whole new fan. New hub in your fan. Mill out the slot to constant width.Ben Minor

Jerry Sudimick rrVeteran Connecticut | If you are having a hard time getting the new rubbers into your Fury fan, the problem is most likely that you have an 'older' fan. The latest run of fans have the rubber cups slightly enlarged as compared to the initial ones. If you have to ridiculously lubricate them - and still struggle to push them in, this is most likely the problem. If you do get them in after a struggle, inserting the driver pins will be an extreme challenge. You can slightly open up the rubber cups with a dremel if desired - or - update to a new fan. (edit....Ben beat me by 1 minute) Jerry
