also, how did you do the wiring with the 3 servos ?

thanks !!

3 KO's on My Avant's swash. (see my gallery) I wasn't necessarily looking for a faster or more powerful servo. Instead, I simply wanted to bypass the regulator in order to power the servos.

The motor leads on the KO's run straight to the battery. No magic here.

I'm getting 4-5 flights on a 2-cell 2100mah li-po (105 grams).

In flight, I can't really see any advantage of these servos over 9252s.

I3DM check out KCT gallery there is all kinds of info for what you are looking for..KCT and I came up with this idea to use the KO servo on a standard mix heli to improve collective speed, then KCT took it to the next level and added it to a CCPM machine "his Fury" and what a difference it made.

You wouldn't learn anything from a pic. It's a bit of a "rats nest".

The thing to be careful about is you need to understand that the servos will draw current through the motor lead even if the receiver is turned off.

What you need to do is put a switch on the ground lead of the battery.

That mitigates the need for two switches (one for the receiver and one for the servo power leads).

I3DM,

I am running three on the swash of my Fury. Works great.
I normally fly about 6-7 flights on one charge of 4200 mAh
Thunder power pack depending on the 'stress level'.

Like Neil said, the wireing is a bit messy if you use two switches.

Cheers

Simply put a switch on the ground wire just off the battery...

KCT, thats a nice setup, but i dont understand how its an alternative to 2 switches. i see on your sketch that you dont have a second switch, i.e. the servos 7.2V feed is always connected to the battery directly (no switch), wont this drain the battery and kill it ?

Mooney, did you use a switch on the + pole of the battery ? which switch did you use ? i would think some very high currents might go through that switch ..

thanks.

I3DM,

no , it does not drain the battery, the switch interuppts
the negative pole. Works great, many top pilots fly those.

Good point, when the negative pole is cut off - no current draw !!

silly me, i had the + and - reversed in my head..

anyway, so just a stock HD switch (that would interrupt the negative pole) should get it done well?
