ive been flying about 2-3 times a week with the same pack for about 4 months. When do you know its time to buy a new pack? My battery gets too hot to touch now and is lasting less time. obviously its being discharged faster but why? Ive been using the same pinion and just switched from the align carbons to the 335 woodies which are lighter. Shouldnt the motor draw less amps with lighter blades?

yes it should draw less, do yourself a favor, have more then one pack. see if your pinion gear mesh is set right. I have a very slight degress in flight time on one of my older packs, which is about 5 months old but it is only around 15 seconds, I have no increase in battery temp though, and with a battery thats to hot to touch its probally damage now anyways, do you have a temp gauge to check your batteries. I dont have your setup but My batteries run between 111 and 122 degrees.

is your belt loose enough where you can see the curve of the belt out of the pulley or is it straight? its loose enough where i can press one end of the belt to the other but it is still straight.

The only battery that I had problems with is one that had a cell swell up on, but from what i read on here your flight times go down to almost nothing.

Try using one of these, swear by it.
Can increase the number of cycles of your packs by detecting low voltage before damage occurs.
