Hi all.. I am pondering on if I bought the wrong remote or not.. I need some advice please!!! I just bought the RD6000 Sport (did not know there was a Super in this remote). I currently have a Futaba 6XAS.. Which remote is going to be better for helis??? Seems to me like the 6XAS has more funtions then the RD6000 does.. Just wanting to know which to keep and which to sell.. This really bites.. Many thanks for your input..

Futaba 9C. You'll have compatability with your other Futaba gear and you would be unlikely to outgrow the 9C. You want at least 5 point curves. It looks like the RD6000 sport only has 3 point curves

You are right in both parts John.. But I can't afford a 9C.. I am a single Mr. Mom with a son and a $1500 mortatguage payment with too many toys to support.. Just trying to find something on a budget.. I gave myself $500 to spend on a toy from my tax return and I am at my limit after buying an Evo, TT50 and remote.. Big bummer.. Oh well at least I can still fly.. Thats what matters.. But always 1st and formost is my son..

Get a used on. Check eBay. Better to buy a used 9CHP than a new POS.

Here's one for $325.

Don't know about the 6XAS but the 6000 sport will do you fine. The programming is very easy and it is a nice unit. You can control other brand rx's with it, just purchase the crystal you need for the rx plug it in and go fly.

I know what you mean. I'll have two in college next year. I'm getting real good at filling out loan forms.

You might also find a used Futaba 8U Super. That's what I have and I can't find a good reason to move up to a 9C. I have an EVO with the CCPM upgrade, Raptor 50, and X-Cell SE99 and it works great for all of them.

The best bang for the buck is going to be the RD8000.
Full 8 channel capability for a great price compared to Futaba and JR.
The PPM mode has a switchable shift (+ or -) modulation for all RX's.

But if you want a R6000 new complete w/RX & servos, I can make you a heck of a deal. I have a spare.

I have the original, it's like the super with 5 point curves.
