Hi all -

I was flying last night and noticed when decreasing throttle slowly to descend, right around 50-60% throttle, there was a loud vibration accompanied by a loss of some power and a little tail yaw (possibly from the vibes to the gyro). Above that point and below that point it is smooth with no vibration. The vibration is actually quite loud!

It was a little scary the first time, but I just throttled up past that point to regain a little altitude and anticipated it on the next descent. I tried to replicate by holding Rexie overhead and throttling up and down, but it would not happen.

I know Anni had a similar weed-wacking vibration awhile ago, but forget what his issue was. I'll have to search the forum for that thread. In the meantime, any thoughts???

Thanks -

I think it is solved

I think I found the problem. One (at least the top one) of the main shaft bearings is very notchy (that didn't last long). I just placed an order with Wes for some new precision ones so it will be a few days before I know for sure.

Has anyone else experienced short life on these bearings?

Thanks -
