I just receive my Raven 50 kit early this evening,,, LOL and of-course I had to look at the part's bags,,,

well this is my 3rd Century SE kit, and of-course I have bought crash part's in the past too, so I know Century's 30 and 50 parts pretty well,,, but this time as I was looking threw the part's bags a few things started to catch my eye's for the better, some parts seem to have better machined finishes ,,, it came with the new 2 piece rotor head block, not sure but it look's to be made of SS, much nicer than the older head block, some of the spacers and main shaft stop look to have better finishes too, even some of the plastic parts look to have better finishes , very nice Century,,, hopefully I will be flying this Saturday..

Rotor head...

Wasp,
Is this the two piece metal rotor head (seperate guide pin mount). If so, it's aluminum. I have one on my Hawk. I think it's the new CN3160D part for Hawk, Raven and Falcon. The older one that was for the Raven and Falcon had the plastic guide pin mount on it. I don't know why it's been changed (if in fact it has). I see that the plastic guide pin mount head is listed but don't know if it's still available.

Here is a picture of the head on my Hawk...

Jim,

You had better weigh each parts bag on a gram scale (and then double check the weights) so that when you find parts missing , Century doesn't accuse you of lying about a missing bolt and washer (or two......)

Do let us know how you make out.....

Mr Zero,,, I just realized that my main rotor head is diff from the 1 in the photo, the 1 that came with my Raven has two extra screws that clamp the bottom of the rotor head to the main shaft, it seem's like a good idea considering the power of these new motors,,, see the link..
