I just got this pipe and of course I have a question.

Should the pipe sit flush against the exhaust flange? It also appears I am missing the short standoffs which may make up that difference which is about 4-5mm.

Thank you
Mark

I had to manipulate the o-rings a bit but I got mine pretty much flush.
I am missing the short standoffs...
Mine came with two long standoffs and two brackets.

FYI, the bracket holes are offset...you'll need to use the low side and may have to grind it a bit to get the pipe to sit level (I had to grind mine more because I used the high side).

Paul,

Jason just email me on this.

"Mark,

The pipe should NOT touch the header. My stand off is about 30mm long on my Raptor.

Where did you purchase that from? I may be able to have them send the proper stand off if it was not included.

Thats great to hear I can't wait to try it out. I had the Maverick pipe on mine so I am guessing, hoping I will notice a tremoudous difference.

Thanks

I got my pipe directly from JK's site. It's running pretty good with my Hyper; You'll notice the difference between the stock muffler.

Here's mine mounted:

I'm using just one standoff at the top.

Holy CRAP!!!

What a difference for me. I left my settings the same and my headspeed went from 1800 to 2100 which was too much for my liking I am working in toning it down but I found it to have a tremdous differnce compared to the Maverick & TT pipe.

Well I hope it stays this way even starts and idle's better.

How does the MP pipe compare to the Hatori?

Thanks
Mark

Paul,

Very nice Heli. Are those the TT CNC upgrades or the Mavrikk one's. I have some of the Mavrikk upgrades that came with mine but have not installed them and just wondering if you are satisfied if they are Mavrikk's.

Thanks

Mark,

Thanks . It's the Mavrrik 1010 head. I've got two and I think they're great! It's a direct replacement for the stock unit.

Paul,

I have been looking at that, I actually have most of it except for the Blade Grips and Head but I am wondering why the entire unit is much less then the TT & Quick UK stuff. Well if you are happy with it I will start to assemble mine.

Having the full metal head how does it feel...crisp and smooth?

Thanks again

I think it feels awesome compared to the stock head. Makes for very solid control inputs; lots more responsive IMO. I'm also running the Red dampners.

bump

Does this have more power then the MPIIQ?

I noticed on Jasons site it said produced max power at 17000rpm which means it likes a high head speed like the MPIIQ does.

Just wondering if it is worth ditching the MPII for this pipe.

Thanks

I can only tell you coming from the Stock pipe and Maverick pipe there was a big difference for me and yes when I increased my head speed up to around 2000 the Hatori really came alive for me but I am not used to all that power so I had to tone it down for right now.

Now I also heard wonderfull things about the MP2 pipe so I would stay with that if it were me...Just my opionion though

Thanks for your opinion. This helps. I would like to here from somebody that has had both. I know one thing, the MPII makes great power, but it's also a very heavy pipe! I don't know how heavy the Hatori is, but the one I had on my x-cell 60 was very light. I am sure one could shave several ounces off the heli by changing out pipes.

Just installed my JK pipe tonight, fly that tomorrow. My MPII is on the way for my second raptor, so I can post after I get it.
