Im having a problem, My raptor 50 v2 flies like a champ. It is very smooth and tracks perfectly.....until you invert it..... When the heli is inverted, the tracking is way off.....but right side up its perfect. Does anybody know why this is? Can you help me correct the problem? Thanks,

Tom

What blades? Have you serviced the thrust bearings lately?

Try marking a blade with tracking tape. Mark one blade grip as well. Determine which blade is "low" when inverted. Now switch blades around in the grips. Fly again. Determine if the "low" blade follows the blade or stays with the grip. Does that make sense?

this is most likely related to a little up and down play in your mainshaft, there shouldn't be any, you need to have somebody stand on the skids and pull up the head while you push down on the shaft lock collar and snug it up so there's no up and down play at all.

Gareth, wouldn't up and down play in the main shaft change the pitch, collectively?

it would yes Al, but i've seen it do this too, i dunno why cuz it doesn't really make sense, but i've definetely seen it happen, so give it a check anyway, only takes a second to pull up and down on your shaft

hahahaha

True! Anything is possible with these toy helicopters. My theory is: if we ask enough questions, maybe we hit on the solution. I'm all for pulling the shaft up and down!

Thanks for the replies guys! Changing the blades to see to see if its the blades or the grips makes perfect sense! I will also check the play in my main shaft...(yeah, like I havent said that before ) Thanks for the suggestions.
