I have a TSK Five Star in As New condition powered by an Enya35, nes 517 sevos and futaba 153 gyro. It has been stored for over ten years. Test flown only by the original US importer after initial build.

This heli is just in awesome condition. And there is a story behind why it has not been used. (I am the original owner and builder).

I'm getting back into the hobby. Just built a Bergen Gasser and now building an EVO. I prefer precision over hot dog style of 3D. I think there may be someone who would love to have this heli for scale application. You can see them both in my Gallery.

I have two questions. Would this be considered excellent mechanics for a scale ship? What kind of value is there in a sale, as is?

Comments and or suggestions are always good. So take a moment and share your thoughts.

Thanks

Rick

Scale
I have a slew of TSK's ,and yes they do make great platforms for scale ships. Built correctly everything is very reliable.. As to the value of the heli I would not personally buy one to start with. The reason being, model has been discontinued for a number of years, parts are a bitch to get, you wont find many at the flying field (not a big knowledge base for setting up at the flying field) . There are some people who still fly them and if you ask on this forum about parts there are a couple of people who could steer you the right way. When I bought my first carbon mystar .30 and .60 had to do no upgrades except a metal fan. Now everyone buys plastic fantastics and starts the bling game, but I am guilty of that too. Good luck and post some pics when you get her flying. Ken

YES
Hi,

I have done two scalers with the TSK Five Star mechanics... The first one went in a Funkey 46 size Longranger for a customer last year, he still has it and loves to fly it every chance he gets.

The second one is mine....... I took a Five Star 30, added a 50 kit, and an OS-50sx, and put it in a new style Funkey 50 size 222 ARF.

It flys awesome, has way too much power and is my wknd. flyer!! It has full retract system, full nav lights, and even a retractable landing light, slaved into the retract circut....

If your by chance going to Circumgyration in two wks., i'll have it there, and may dabble in the sport scale class with it

regards, Scott Reed
