That's a beautiful helicopter and setup, Holger. Is it the Graupner fuselage?

Lovely job.
Have you got any vids of it? I would love to just hear how it sounds with a electric heli that big.

@Eben:
Yes it's a Graupner fusalage.

@JoeB1:
Hopefully on one of the next meetings someone will make a video and I'll post it.

I think the sound is much more scale like because it's more silent as a turbine version. You can hear more blade noise.

mech????

Holger
How come you did not use the Graupner mech? What time are you getting with those batteries? Is the gear ratio the same as the Graupner expert 2000 mech? How about a couple of pics of the inside?
Thanks

Major-Rush,

I have some more pictures on my website. Take a look at http://home.arcor.de/hport/Helis/NH90/index.htm

I used the Graupner mechanic as a base of my mechanic. The HB Motor is a high rpm motor so I need to change the gear ratio. I got all the parts of the mechanic from eBay :-)) I modifed the Vario gear to a belt drive in the first step.

The mechanic has the same mouting points as the Graupner machanic so no big changes needed.

I got these cells for a very low price. The cells are known as "Konion" in germay. They were selled from Kontronik. with the 3300mAh I get 8:30 Min. flighttime and I have to recharche 2500-2800 mAh.

My plan is to go to only 6S1P configuration and change the motor from star- to triangle configuration. Star has 660 rpm and triangle has 1140 rpm.

Mr. Bittner, the constructor of HB-Motors uses the 6S1P (10000mAh) in his 1,80m Jet-Ranger (only 5200g).

very nice

Your work is very nice. The pics on your site tell it all even though I cannot read German. Let me know how the lipoly batteries work out for you when you get them.

Late but not to late a video of my NH 90:

NH 90 - Melle (17MB)

It was a little windy so the tail is a little noisy.
