The Triton needs some extra help to balance lipos packs. If your pack has extra cell connections (like Tanic's have) for charging one cell at a time then you can balance with the Triton by charging one cell at a time (remembering to set it to 1S first!). Or if your battery pack has connections for an external balancer (like flightpower I think), then you just plug in the balancer and charge according to the instructions that came with the balancer.

But if your battery is like my TP 3S 2100s it has no connections for either of the above, so there is nothing that any charger can do about balancing the pack without first tearing it apart to put in the connections TP didn't.

I think the latest high value packs from TP now have a connection for an external balancer, but I dont think they've started including it on the 3S 2100s yet

Triton

I have been told that the Triton does not fully top the cells off. If this is so then wouldn't the triton not accurate enough to fully. I have a Wes Tec Portable Selectable Micro Lithium charger, would this be better for charging my lipos than my Triton?

With 3S lipos, I dont see much difference between a battery charged on my Triton compared to charged on my Schulze 6-636. I have heard that Tritons dont like very long charging wires and may not give a full charge if the wires are excessive. (Actually the same is true of Schulze so I use very short wires with both).

AHHHHHHHH

I am soooo stupid. I have problems, it was late and I was trying to balance this one pack that was semi broken and I accidentally reversed polarity on my Wes Tech and fried it. Well there $50 down the tube. Do you think its worth getting another dedicated lithium charger to charge my 2 TP2100. I noticed that when I would put a fully Triton charged lipo on my wes tec it would take in about 50-75 mah. Does that mean it has a betting topping off capability. My packs show 12.54 (12.6 is max what you want on a 3s1p lipo) coming off my triton. Is that good enough. Should I bother getting another charger. You know it just pisses the hell out of me being so stupid. I just fried an etech 1200 and a tp1350 by using them on my trex and now I broke a charger. Thats $150 of stupidity in a week.
