Hey gang I had a problem with my Pmax about a week ago and was told it most likely was the main bolt holding the fan hub to the engine shaft. When I took the engine out of the heli and removed the clutch I discovered that there was no bolt holding the clutch in to the fan hub. I had only used 2 bolts as the kit instructions suggest and had been flying the model this way since January of 2004 without any problems. All of a sudden the 2 bolts just sheared off and luckily I was near the ground when all this happened.

Has anyone else ever had this sort of thing happen? I will definitely be using 4 bolts next time and I would suggest that anyone putting together a Predator that you do the same.

Karl,

Yes, that has happened a number of times with the Pmax's with big engines using only 2 bolts on the fan. Using 4 bolts is the cure.

The government cannot give you anything without first taking it from someone else.
