Hi,

I need some advise here. I just upgraded my Zap to the Heliup's belt drive system. My Zap was very well set up. It hover straight without much yawing movement and not much rudder input needed.

The problems start when I switch on the heading hold / tail lock on my JR 401T gyro. Now my Zap tends to yaw to the left now at almost to 9 o'clock. I got to hold the rudder stick constantly. Now the rudder servo is not at its nutral position anymore. It's servo horn is now offset yawing my Zap to the left. When my Zap lift of it is yawing to the left.

Revo mix is off.

Help please

Thank you

Not familiar with the JR, but the Futaba 401 must be turned to Heading hold before plugging in the heli battery and powering up. After initialized in HH, it can be switched from HH to normal, back and forth while flying. If you start it in Normal, the light will always blink, letting you know that head hold has not be initialized correctly.

Also, keep the heli perfectly steady while plugging in the battery, and allow the gyro to sit a few seconds in HH before moving so it gets an accurate center point.

Hope it helps
Shane

Sounds like your revolution mixing might be activated in your transmitter..
IF the revo mix is off then you might need to adjust your "Subtrim" to get the Gyro "Centered".. Start adjusting the subtrim until the tail is steady in a hover with no stick input. Generally you will have to use the subtrim in the trans because the regular trim tab increments are too great..

Thanks guys for your advise. I will recheck my radio settings again to make sure the revo mix is off.
