Good Weekend
The event was a huge success. I very much enjoyed taking part.

I think the organisation was excellent and very professional. Thanks to all the people that made it possible.

Looking forward to next year. I would definitely think about participating again.

(The fly-off at the end was a good idea - the best pilot won)

3D Cup
Well I can tell you that not everybody thought that the last EXTRA round made the easy for the winner ............ Quote.............is it standard practice to add an extra round when your club mate crashes his helli to give him another chance

The extra round added to the event and gave the Pilots extra Experience in front of the crowds. The crowds loved it as the pilots really went for it.. IT was brilliant

The Extra round also gave all pilots an EXTRA chance to Better.

Ps Bruce I don’t have a much fuel left mate!

What a great event

First, I would like to thank Neil and the crew for organising such a great event and the judges for having the patience to sit through it all. "Dangerous Dick" deserves a medal for sitting on the safety line acting as marshall and I am sure everyone one would club together and buy him a new pair of underpants!

I had the dubious honor of flying first in both rounds and just to prove bad things happen in 3`s I finished in 13th. But hell, at least I went away with my helis in one peice.

Congratulations to Bruce and Gareth. Personally I thought there was not much between them and the judges must have had a tough decision.

However just to clarify one point . In an email recieved by all competitors prior to the event it states:

"On the sunday, the plan for the day is as follows:

9.30 am - Tx Control Opens
10.00 am - Pilots, Callers, Judges Flight Briefing
10.30 am - Competition Begins - Starting with Clubman PYO (Set Man'vreRound)
1.00 pm - Lunch - Demo Flights from Sponsors/Guest Flyers
2.00 pm Competition Re-starts - Clubman DIY (Freestyle Round)
3.30 pm Competition Ends
Raffle, into Result/Prize Giving
Victory Flight

As with all these types of events, all times are approximate. Depending on
how the day goes, we may decide to have a fly off, with the top 5 for
example"

Therefore the flyoff was not to quote hamster "a little suspicious"

Well done to all involved, the standard of flying was very high.
Adam deserves a mention for a caos take-off using someone elses model! and Steven Gerrard`s lunch time demo gave us all something to aspire to.

Thankyou also to the sponsors including Skyline/Magnum for the gallon of fuel each competitor recieved.

thanks to the goole guys for organising the weekend so well.
it was a very long drive for me to watch my hubby dave fly in his first comp (and may i add that he was really really nervous) but it was well worth it, i had a good time and had a great laugh, especially with the guys in front of me mainly about dangerous dick and his need for a porta loo by him.

well done to all pilots

Just to echo congrats to the winners, all the thanks to the organisers and judges, and all the helpers. Last week I was hoping I would break a thumb so I could have an excuse not to go, even more so on Saterday when I was watching all the guys practicing. There are some very good pilots in the wings ( pardon the pun). As it turns out I am very glad I did compete as everybody there was so friendly, although they must have all been suffering from nerves. Some people obviously wanted to win more than others, but that did not stop them helping, chatting etc. This event was a great success on all counts, the extra round was suggested before the comp, but hats off to the judges, the top five were very close and it must be difficult to assess. I'm very happy with my placing as I expected to be at the bottom of the list by the end, my heli's are in one piece and I did a couple of flights with my scale machines. I will now decide whether to just stick to scale in the future as my reactions are more suited to that.
Steven Gerrard, you are a real talent and are sure to reach the top. Ade Law was really rocking with the DynaX too, very impressive. To think they were both disappointed that they were not allowed to enter... would have made the rest of us ( or most of us ) look like we should still be on training gear
We all appreciate the members of the Goole club giving up their flying site for us for the weekend. I think it can be delcared a great success. I will get the pictures to MHW as soon as I can.
Thanks all
Denis
