Yeah, I am running it rich. I hate engine tuning

I am using the lower holes (Back of the frame) for the boom supports since I am using a header tank where the boom supports are supposed to be mounted. See images below:

Hi

hinky: sorry for hijacking this thread but maybe you could answer me a basic question freya pitch related... if you want 0 degree on midstick do ALL links be squared and/or leveled? I can see in your picture that not only are your yoke mixing arms level but also the mixing arms under the radius block? If I follow freya manual, I do achieve leveling the arms that connect to the blade rods but not the mixing arms over the swash plate... to achieve that I have to shorten the rods in more than 4 mm than recommended by the manual.

Thx for your answer

and sorry for hijacking

Cheers, Tony

Tony
Adjusting the links so that all arms is level at midstick is a very good start.
Once both the mixer and washoutarms is level at midstick you adjust the short rods going from the mixerarms to the bladegrips so that the bladepitch is 0'.

Yes, everything is level (Washout arms, mixing arms). I had to shorten some linkages to achieve the 0 degrees of pitch at mid stick (I think it was the rods that goes to the mixing arms). The manual is only a starting point I believe. It is not written in stone what the length of the rods should be. I then used the rods from the mixing arms to the blade holders to achive the extra pitch I needed, this had the consequence that I lost some negative pitch (-10 is enough), but I gained positive pitch for auto.

I hope that helps.

So you shorten them I guess... but didn't that screw your 0 ad mid-stick later?

I leveled everything tonight and now I got:

+8
0
-10.5

damm... why can't both ways be the same?!

Servo travel? Total stupidity?

arg... gonna redo all servo linkages maybe that will help

cheers,

Tony

Update

I took second place in the Sport class at Gränscupen 2005, so I am super happy with the result. I have 4 weeks until next competition, so I have time to practice some more.

Thanks for all the help.
