The little quickie is a very nice little machine. The battery is burried inside the mainframes like all of their new style electrics so it is well protected in case of mishap. It's all CF and aluminum and comes with a prepainted glass canopy. I've hovered the machine and it is very smooth, I'll be doing more flying with it this weekend so I'll give you an update if you wish

aye it's a little smaller and i dont have one but have been considering one/or the 10. i have the 16 now after many numerous other brands and am so darn pleased with the quality of quick heli's and smoothness that i am actually enjoying the hobby again. Im finally able to fly quality out of the box!

Quickie 8 test flight....
Hi Steve,

The Quickie 8 is terrific EP machine. We have gone throught several changes with motors & battery sizes testing a 4s-2p then a 5s-2p & finally when we were forced to reduce the KV to lower the AMP draw we needed more RPM & then finally tested a 6S-2P with good success.

However the the motors were still not where they needed to be for this little machine to do what the original design was intended to do...

Well using a 2826/10 w/ 6s-2p & a 14 tooth we got the head speed up to 2200 RPM & for a machine using 475MM blades the machine
is 3D ready....
We had tested several other size motors but we must clearly have test results before we can make any staements of performance. I am happy with the results....by the end of the week we will have flight video on line......

There is no hesitation in basic aerobatics....It will pull through a loop much better than 30 or even a 46. If one wants to get more power 440MM blades will add more 100-150 RPM but I would suggest dropping to a 13 tooth pinion...Remember small rotor disc is less stable but more 3D performance...

I will go out to run it up again for some flight....I will also have the Outdo with me....I love that machine....

BTW the 10 now will use 515MM blades....too powerful wit the out runner.

Please feel free to contact me....Irwin

hello in Solvak,

Little Quickie 8

The AMP draw now with the 6s-2p is around 14A....lots of power very low heat on the motor, li-po pack & ESC...We are very satisfied with the performance now...

High voltage is what is needed in many cases to fix the high AMP draws & to allow the motor to perform to its capabilities.

Thanks Irwin
