Ofcoarse that was after an almost ten year hiatus from the sport.
Went to do a loop with my trusty old Ergo 46, forgot the idle up, came out the bottom low, went to bring in pitch and but was way too far behind the power curve. You could just about see the blades slowing down and as the motor bog. Went into tall, thick grass at about a 15 degree nose high attitude. Engine was still running after it hit. Killed the motor, walk over to check out the damage. After about ten minutes the only damage my buddy and I could find was a small dent in the boom from a blade strik that must have happened when the blade folded in the grip, but with no energy. Could not fin anything else accept for a bunch of weeds here and there. Soooo, I fired it up for a ground run. It was smooth as could be. Did some hovering, then some forward flight and it acted like mothing had happen. Then a tank later things got real loud. The pipe broke off and was hanging by a piece of fuel line. Got it on the ground ok though. Must have cracked it when it went in.
Anybody know if an OS 50 pipe will mount up to an OS 46?
