Hi guys,
Out of curiosity, I would like to check what are good values to start with on CCPM setup with futaba radios. It looks like to start I get:
Swash type SR3
all swash values default to 50%
ATV= 100%
Now, if I set up the servos to give 0 pitch at exactly half stick and the swash is level and everything is 90 deg., the pushrods to the Bell mixer are just slightly shorter 6 or 7 mm) than in the manual.
There also seems to be some binding of the push pull arm for the rear "elevator " control on the canopy mount.
I did not check pitch range, but I would be limiting pitch to eliminate the binding.
So, if anyone would be kind enough to do a run down of their radio settings for a linear setup, I can refine the setup on my own. I just need to see if I am doing anything worng.

Thanks in advance!!!

Chris

Chris, I also have the 9Z radio and just flew my Predator gasser for the first time on Friday. I know what you are talking about since I just went through the same thing you are going through. SR-3 is the correct setting for the swashplate mode. My swashplate settings are Elevator, Aileron and pitch are all set for 70% with ATV values at 100%. This seems to work for me but I am going to go back and do some experimenting on the bench now that you bring this up.
I will not be able to play with the settings till Tueseday morning since I work the weekend. I'll get back with you then.

Chris
PM me a phone number to call in a little while, I'll go thru my program on my Z with you.

I alter the push-pull lever for the elevator myself....cut a U notch so it clears the canopy standoff and I can get FULLLLLLLLL travel.

I had to do the same thing - I believe it's because the elevator lever lives on the other side of the heli in the Predator 60, that's what it was designed for - would be nice if Century would fix this but it's not a huge deal as long as you do check your full collective and cyclic (at the same time) for binding
