Here's a few pics of the custom Helicam Solution "Broadcast" version mount that Jody put together for me.

I am just starting the installation of the mount, just sharing some pics and will be showing the finished product later. For you Bergen owners I mentioned in an earlier post that the radio tray will need to be cut, dis-regard that. Jody created a perfect tray that replaces the original in the same mounting holes. There are a few adjustments to the mount that I had to make and will be passing that info to Jody for correction. This mount once mounted is rock-solid and replaces the lower-frame perfectly.

Note: the bar going across above the carb, I added that for wire-tying the cables to and the fuel will be relocated to the rear.

Good work there. I'd lean toward black G10 framing, rather than white myself for visibility reasons. Keep us posted,

Yes Jody I thought about painting it, but after noticing the yellowish (off-white) color of the frame combined with the mixture of the black color of the frame and the camera gimble it would be more visible in the sky than having the entire heli, frame and gimble black. more pics coming soon

Looks like it will be a good set up but to me the rather long nose will mean a forward C of G with a heavy cam fitted - maybe put the Rx batteries on the tail boom to offset this?

Looking forward to seeing the pics of it when completed.

After I re-installing the rear mounted muffler, move the gas tank to the rear and adding a few of some adhesive strips of lead weight that should take care of the problem....thanks for the input

If you do need to reposition your batteries, I have a simple, reliable method that I have been using for the last 2 years on my camcopter so PM me if you have to do this.

I am relatively new here and over the course of the past few weeks I have spent an anormous amount of money putting together a AP package. I never spend my money without doing a great deal of research and I have to say that I liked your product. I cannot, however, spend my money with a company that comes across as nothing more than a bunch of blowhard AS*HOLES! I have not decided where I will buy the mount yet but you can bet it wont be with your group.

PS: if JO had the key to a successful AP platform, and was the only provider of a solution, my family would starve. He doesnt "get it". There is life outside of airfoil systems. My company will never invest with people who make a living by bashing others.

Now, next go around we need to deal with this in a more civilized manner....a cage match between JO and Jody...my money is on the Texan.

For whatever it is... or isn't worth... I'm going to FINALLY be placing an order with Jody this next week for at least two mounts... and maybe more. I've been watching several of the helicopter forums, and have been amazed to see the amount of toxic bilge that seems to surround the AF crew.

I'm really curious how they seem to have a lock on the Voyager Gas helicopters in this country..... but it really doesn't matter. There seems to be several viable alternatives for helicopters...... and Jody at Helicam Solutions has a pretty loyal following of customers for mounts.

I vote with my dollars... and Jody seems to be a real gentleman, so he gets my vote.

Now back to the regularly scheduled programming.....
