Hi All

Just working on installing the Heliup belt drive. I've put the motor back in and noticed that the pinion is hitting the belt (the pinion is all the way to the bottom of the motor shaft). BTW I'm using an 8T long pinion.

Before I cut my pinion down (as pinions are not easy to get at my LHSs) - am I missing something obvious?

Thanks for the help.

I used a motor adapter plate to space out the distance between the pinion and belt. But I think that taking a little off the pinion may do the trick.

Grind the pinion down to clear the belt, but do it off the motor to keep the trash away fom moving parts.
