Is this available from any retailers yet? Anyone know what the notable changes are from the v1 swash?

It sure is available.. It's way better than the stock plastic ones. These are super smooth. There was problems with the CNC metal ones back in early 2005 but I heard only the first batch was bad. They were seperating. I tried to pull mine apart but no luck on that. But anyway, there you go..

The only real difference between the stock swash and the CNC swash is in the main ball. The main bearing is the same and has the same amount of play. If your stock ball is free in the plastic swash I would not worry about changing to the CNC model unless you need the pretty blue color. I have the CNC flybar holder and arms. The only slop that I have in the head now is in the swash plate bearing. There is quite a bit of play but it is the same in the plastic and CNC model.

I believe you are correct. Somewhere there was a picture of the two. I have the V1 and the inner section hits the set screws on the shaft hub limiting the cyclic range. I must say that I did not notice any difference in flight caracteristics between the V1 CNC 120 swash and the standard full plastic version with my home made 120 conversion.

Yes it hits the set screws with full negative and cyclic. I put the collar on top of the lower bearing instead of the upper bearing and it looks to be o.k. I did not have the issue with the modified stock swash. I think the newer version of the CNC 120 swash does not have this problem.
