I am putting an X-cell 30 into a Funkey Longranger fuselage and have a couple of questions....

I already flipped the tail over and changed the pitch slider links to regain full tail pitch range, but I have a small issue with the length of the pushrod now. I found a combination of pushrods and plastic couplers that works ok but I am not comfortable with it for the long term. On my X-cell gas I have a cnc coupler that I bought from MinAir about 10 years ago but can't seem to find the part# again. It is gold, threaded on one end and a smooth bore on the other end with a grub screw to hold the 2nd pushrod in place. It was sold as a "tail pushrod quick disconnect". Is anyone familiar with this and maybe have a part#? I checked with Nathan at Rick's and while he knew what I was talking about, he hasn't came up with one yet.

My only other issue is the radius arm support. Can I remove the radius arm support / rod and replace it with an anti-rotation bracket from the fury expert? Then what could I do to make the swashplate work without needing to replace it also?

Thanks for any assistance and suggestions you can provide.....

Hi, I think that coupler was called the quick release pushrod coupler, #0539, I have one on my heli but don't know if they are still made. One of the items you might consider for swashplate anti-rotation is part #106-82 and 0555-2 you can see these at Ricks if you enter the part number. The piece bolts on the outside of the top bearing block, if you like that pm me and I will give you all the part numbers as they don't sell as a kit at this time. Chris

Thanks for the input.....I haven't been able to find the quick diconnect.....so it probably has been discontinued. Thats a real shame since it allowed a person to cutomize the length of the pushrods to suit any application. I guess since most helis have gone to carbon pushrods and boom mounted servos, they felt it was no longer needed.

As for the anti-rotation bracket.....you confirmed the part#'s I was thinking would work.....

0687 spacer
0159 bearing
0067 bolt
0089 bolt
0019 nut
0061 bolt
106-82 bracket
0555-2 anti-rotation bracket

But since my frames dip down behind the main mast bearing, I'm not sure if the bracket will fit ok......so my other thought was using part# 0874 which is the syle used on the Fury Expert and looks like it might fit better?

Raptor uses a coupler with both sides using a grub screw to lock...Might be a useful alternative..
