Thanks DOKEY thats a great help I`m a OS man myself but I bought this R60 V2 with this engine and thought I`d give it a try, the last owner said he run it on 30% but I thought these things don`t like high nitro but if it gives me sh** I will fit a OS, cheers..................

Your welcome, they can be a pain to tuned, especially when you are used to tuning OS engines.

I have the 75 and eventually gave up with it and bought an OS 91 C-spec. I am keeping the 75 as it does provide very economical power but is a pain to tune. It's handy to have a back up as well.

The engine you have may have had shims added to the head to reduce compression ratio and accomedate the 30% nitro. My 75 did not like much above 15% and it was the 'N' high nitro version.

I had to run a very hot plug (max flash f7) and run the bottom, middle needle very rich. I was going to try an os carb on it as I beleive this may make it much easier to tune. To run without leaning in the mid range I had to have the engine so rich at idle I had to blip the throttle to stop it from quiting as I walk to the flight line. The top end needle can be tuned for maximum power as it only does the last 1/4 or so of throttle opening.

I also polished and de-stressed the con rod on my 75 removing all sharp edges and this seemed to make it run smoother at top end.

keep us posted!
