Hi,

I've just finally got my first t rex. Just trying to work out what servo's and gyro to install in it. Has any body tried the tower pro 9g one's off ebay? Any recomendations? Thinking about a 401 gyro or csm 410. Any comment.

Cheers

Mattie

If you use an HS50 on the tail be sure and shrink wrap or tape it closed. It has no screws holding the case together and several have reported that it can come apart. Not a good thing while you are flying. The 56's are more robust just a bit slower. Search around the Forums. There are a lot of folks using 56's all around.
I use Futaba 3108's and they are sweet. Center well and have plenty of power.

Mattie,

CSM is the gyro you want. They dont make a 410 that im aware of - its the 420 or 560 micro cased you want and regardless of what the americans say its superior to the gy401 and MUCH lighter.

GY401 - HS56
working perfectly...!

Although Im using GY240 / HS55 on my old version and still doing great!

If you are using 6.0V seperate BEC... don't use HS50.

Happy Flying!

The English and electonics go together like oil and water The MG, Triumph, Sterling, and Jag (before Ford) should be enough of a lesson! Ok..only kidding cross the ponder's. I've never used a 420 or 560 but friends have and they seem to like it. I have the 401 and it works great. My opinions on CSM come from my experience with the 200hgl, piece of junk.

I was going to say 3 hs56's and a hs50 on the tail and of course a 401, but everybody beat me to it.
