Definitely the MS116 without doubt.
The CC esc's are just too noisy and causes random cutouts with my setup of 35Mhz and AXI. Only a Berg or PCM rx can cure the problem.
I got sick and tired of crashing due to the CC esc cutting out.
Bought the MS116 and am very happy.. I am never going to turn back to CC escs for heli use.

Also the MS116 governor software has been designed for use with the AXI and runs the motor on governor with no problems or hiccups at all.

Hornet X3D : GY401, 9CHP, AXI, MS116+____Evo 50, 50SXH

I've gotta agree with Fit, I swapped out my CC for a MS116 and I no longer have signal issues.

Get the MS116 you won't be dissappointed

I've had great results with my CC10, but only with a Berg 6 Rx.

Go the MS.....after reading through pages upon pages of forums I found that NO ONE!!! had any problems with the
MS-116.......however.....the CC on the other hand.....had some very ugly posts

MS-116 No glitching, no random shut down....stays cool.

Hope this helps.

Logan.

MS 116 good... CC P10 CRAP!!!!!!
Wrecked five times due to P10 cut out plus four near misses. Swapped for the MS and no problems with over 150 flights.

One really annoying thing with the CC10 is it jitters when going up to 100% throttle. As in if you're at 99% throttle, and you add just a little more so that the red light comes on, the motor RPM wags slightly. Is that just a Castle Creations thing?

I think by now we have seen how the CC stuff works in helis. I have a few micro helis with CC controllers and i love em, but the last few projects have been Kontronic for the biggies and almost anything else for the little uns. I have lots of CC stuff and i think it is great for the planes and cars but not any more in the heli's.

Lowell, i only get that on my CC 10's nothing else.

The only advantage i can think about is that CC's have higher max amps limits than other esc of the same class. In a Hornet that means with the MS-116, we get a max amps usage of 8A... but with a CC10 it can go up to 15A.. That's a nice part in terms of theoretical power. But both Fit and I felt that the Change to the MS-116 was very noticeable and felt like the motor was given a steroid boost. That said I've lost over $200 because my CC10 cut out mid-air. For all the bells and whistles that the CC escs come with, they are just not good if they aren't dedicated to the model type.

I'd take a bet on the MS116 being a Jeti Advance 03-8P esc thats been branded for MS.

I occasionally have a brain fart when building a new heli, and I purchase a CC esc. (Many different motor combinations with Hornets and the Concept EP) Inevitably there is a problem, and its quickly corrected by installing a quality ESC. Apparently the Ph10 is supposed to be ok with inrunners, but definitey has problems with certain outrunners. (This according toTheir tech support)

Get the MS/Jeti 116 for the AXI. Spend the extra $, you won't regret it later...

Anyone know anything about the Hyperion line?

I'm also ooking at the new MGM TMM controllers. Cool thing is that they retain some info from the last flight, like max temp, highest A burst, etc... http://www.mgm-compro.com/

I'm considering importing some models, but can't find what I want in the meantime.

Seems like you can get a nice 12 amp ESC for only $75 w/ programming card, and no real weight penalty.
