I just started assembling my V2 and I've noticed the left side frame has a serial number on it. I have one other complete TRex and two other frames but none have a serial number.

Has anyone else with a V2 noticed this number? I find it odd that Align would do this. Does anyone have any information on why Align has done this? Are the kits serialized and replacement frames not? My other TRex has replacement frames.

Have I won a "special" prize or something I'm not aware of? lol

Cheers!

Shayne

By the way this is the number: CA052023283

YOU WON! OMIGOD! YOU WON!

I've been trying to win that damn prize myself

Seriously tho,

Yeh all the v2 kits have that now. Someone mentioned it before on here awhile back and i dont think it was ever determined why align was serial numbering the new frames. Perhaps to catch errors or problems in certain manufacturing runs would be my guess. If you look at the outside of the box their should be a sticker there as well which has your serial number.

I noticed it last night as I was dyeing my new frames navy blue....checked the other two sets I have, no number.

The number also matches the holographic serial number stickers on the box....

AnnihilaT, did you jack a hobby store? J/K
Serial numbers are there to track which country the kits are shipped to.

The serial number is there to track sales to distrubutors worldwide. They plan on yanking a bunch of distrubutors in the USA for reasons I wont post here. An unamed representive has a candle lit under his ass. He says there are to many people breaking the rules. I heard they already consolidated the dist in Europe. USA is next on the chopping block. AlignRC is wanting a bigger piece of the pie. They set up a http://www.AlignRCusa.com website to become one of the sole distributors here in the states. The price will probably go up just like it already has in Europe. I say let them raise the price. The ark X-400 is only weeks away from hitting the USA. It is basically a T-Rex that already comes with eCCPM and every other fix I can think of. You can also choose between assembled and unassembled kits from the manufacturer. Also heard there going to be less then the price of a V2 T-Rex. Lets hope the rumor mill isnt full of bogus info. I cant wait to get my hands on a X-400.

well... X-400 now in HK
I visited some LHS and 3 out of 4 has them on their display cabinet and its cheaper than TREX450X...about US$12cheaper. but they dont have the spareparts yet.
As I looked at it... I think TREX parts will fit almost 80% of it except the main frame.... a big difference there... the servo is already has allocation on the main frame at the back...
