just thought i would let everyone know who is waiting that these heli's are out in the UK. to my knowlege 2 places sell them. i got mine from heliaddicts in UK. they have full spares aswell so spares shouldn;t be a problem.

lets start with the bad things.

1. my main gears are warped. altough i think this was just the way the box was packed and they have taken that shape. a mate got the same kit and his is fine.

2. the spindle is a tad too long and this gives quite a bit of float in the blade grips. a couple of washers fixed this. again, the other x400 my mate has doesn't have this problem.

3. the blades supplied don't seem the best. this is my 1st micro so maybe thats the way they all are. so i'll reserve judgement.

now the good parts.

everything about the kit it quality. i had a zoom very briefly and this is another league quality wise. i can't say flying wise yet.

all the parts fitted exactly as they should have without any problems.

i will compare this with a t-rex at the weekend when i can have a look at one and see for myself and see if there is any weight difference.

for a STRONG 3d machine get the AON 3500 setup. it's THE motor to have. i was going to go with it but it will hammer batteries and you only run it at 65% which goes against the grain regaurding brushless motors and esc's but, thats what they are using.

myself i'm going for the mega 16/3 setup. will do good 3d and won't be as bad on the batteries.

servos is personnal choice but i'm going with the new blue bird 371. really good specs and a bit cheaper than the rest. but i'm also looking at futaba 3108's.

i'm not going to use the hs50 on the tail as i do think it's a bit weak. it may be quick but it's not a strong servo. so i'll use the 0.3 sec slower servo on tail. turn the 401 down a bit and thats fixed.

lipos is personnal choice but i'm going with TP2100.

i'll get some pics of the tail tonight.

cheers
