First forray into digital servos. Just pulled out a CSM 360 and JR2700 and replaced with a brand new 401/9254 combo.

Yup it hums, prepared for that but the servo twitches like crazy in both gyro modes and with the switch in digital or non-digital.

Any thoughts?

I have encountered this if the 401 is mounted directly on top of another servo. Try repositioning the gyro.

Not near any other servos.

In HH mode, every now and then the red light flashes, indicative of the gyro receiving a yaw command....

Anybody ever get a duff gyro brand new?

Gonna plug in the old gyro and another 401 and see what happens.

Hmm, could be some RF noise down in the basement. Does it on another 401.

Doesn't do it when plugged into a different receiver (Berg 6)

Okay, found it.

The lead to the GEM 2K voltage indicator went by the 9254. It was picking up the noise and feeding it back into the reciever. Disconnect the GEM and it is right as rain.

FYI
