recently got a 9303. my question is, say i am doing a hovering auto. the heli rotates to the right. is there some way i can put some pitch into the tail while in throtle hold? i can't find anything in the book. i use to have a airt. stylus and you could put in some off set in the throtle hold position to keep the heli straight during an auto.

Have you tried giving your helicopter left rudder while doing the auto to correct the right rotation?

Take Care,

Torque,

With the advent of digital trims you no longer have the tail offset function for throttle hold, nor do you have stunt trims for aerobatics.

The Digital trims remeber the seperate settings for each flight mode. Therefore on throttle hold just put some left tail rotor trim in until you get 0 pitch on the tail rotor blades. That should be a good start.

Cheers

trim
bummer. my old stylus i guess has spoiled me. you could set the off set trim and do autos, and hovering autos and the heli would come down nice and straight without having to manualy feeding in tail.

Torque,

But thats exactly what the digital trims give you.. instead of it being an offset option in the software you just set the digital trim for the throttle hold which is seperate to all other flight modes.. it's exactly the same idea as your stylus just accessed in a more straight forward way..

Cheers

He is saying to flip the switch to Throttle hold and then use the rudder trim to add your offset. The trim button for each flight surface can be set different in each flight mode including throttle hold. So just flip switch and add the trim that easy. No menu to fuss with. If you are running a HH gyro, it will correct most of this for you depending on if you have a driven tail or not.

i got the trim set up as you and another fellow said. it just seem weird.
but it seems that it will work. got another question. i switched the throtle hold switch to the rudder dual rates switch. question is will the rudder dual rate switch convert to the throtle hold switch? i think i miss my stylus. ha ha
