Hello all,

I just finished reading the post on setting up throttle curves in G3, bit i can't seem to figure out how to set up idle up 1, and idle up 2 throttle curves.

I would like to adjust them so i can hover inverted at 1/4 stick and not 5/8.

Thanks guys,

Jarrett

None of the helicopters in G3 should hover inverted above half stick. Assuming you mean 0/8 being full low, they should hover at about 3/8 stick.

That said, I have already covered how to do a pitch curve in G3. You can find that post here. I have changed the helicopters for the next update to have programmable pitch and throttle curves, so you won't have to do it yourself.

Vitek,

I understand how to set up a curve in G3, but Iam not sure how to set up pitch curves in multiple flight modes. Do you just have the flight mode switch in idle up 1 or 2 and set the curves up there, Thats where iam getting hung up.

Forgive me, iam a lil' computer slow????

Have a look at the model that I linked to in the previous post. It has multiple pitch/throttle curves, one for each flight mode. You should be able to copy the settings from there.

If you want me to walk through it, here you go. This is for the pitch channel (Output Channel 6). I'm going to assume you want a pitch curve for Normal, Idle 1, Idle 2 and Hold.

If you followed the directions for creating a pitch curve, then you should have at least one Input for Output Channel 6. Repeat the process so that you have one Input for each of the flight modes mentioned above.

The input channels for each of the Inputs should be the same [Input Channel 3 (Left Stick Vertical) for the Mode 2 guys]. They will each have a Curve, and they should have the Add to other feeds Logic. You will be changing the Input Logic for Hold to Override all other feeds [see below]

Each of the Input entries has an Input Feed When item. This tells the software when you want that input to become active. The conditional channel for all flight modes except Hold will be Input Channel 8 (Left 3-pos switch). Hold will use Input Channel 7 (Right 2-pos switch).

For Normal mode, it will be Activated When the Conditional Channel is below Value #1. Value 1 (%) should be set to -50.

For Idle 1, it will be Activated When the Conditional Channel is above Value #1 and below value #2. Value 1 (%) should be set to -50 and Value 2 (%) should be set to 50.

For Idle 2, it will be Activated When the Conditional Channel is above Value #1. Value 1 (%) should be set to 50.

For Hold, it will be Activated When the Conditional Channel is above Value #1. Value 1 (%) should be set to 0.

Since Hold is a special case [it overrides all other flight modes], You want to change the Input Logic from Add to other feeds to Override all other feeds.

That should do it.
