The threads stripped on my stock TT muffler and I'm looking to get a new one. Are there any differences in the mounting or tuning of an OS50 muffler, or anything that would make it incompatible with the TT50? Some of the mufflers I've looked at say they are for the OS50, and I was just curious if they would work just as well on the TT50. Anyway, here are two that I have found, let me know what you think....

Muscle Pipe II

Hatori #546

Thanks guys

I've got a MP2 on my TT50 - same thing happened to me, stock muffler thread stripped.

MP2 fits very nicely, and I'm very happy with it. It was a bit expensive I think but what the hell.

I'm not familiar with the Hatori pipe though.

You could just get longer screws and use locknuts.

The TT50 and OS 50 have the same bolt pattern for the muffler.

40mm bolts with locknuts is the way to go! A bit more difficult to put on/take off the muffler, but have never had them come loose.

I'm with Ohs on the 3mm x 40mm bolts with lock nuts. Unless you're looking to spend $70 on a muffler. If so get the MP2Q. I've got that on my 50. Nice.
Oh, by the way, that'll have 40mm bolts with lock nuts.

Thanks for the advice guys. I guess I'll do what I usually do and take the conservative (cheap) route and just slap some lock nuts on the original
