Guys,

I'm trying to repair a Kyosho landmax RC car for a friend of mine. The engine is completly borked....Conrod broken and bits everywhere. Turns out he was running it on gravel with no air filter

I'm finding it difficult to get an engine, I've tried googling and e-baying. Tower is out of stock.

It's a kyosho GS21R ,Details from tower here http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...p?&I=LXAVV3&P=7

I'd really like to get a good second hand one, but if this is not possible I'll just get a new one.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

you know you dont have to put a kyosho engine back in that thing. And anyone whos been in the RC car world knows that kyosho engines really suck. I would just replace with a nice OS or an RB maybe.

So I'll get something like this....................

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...?&I=LXLU03&P=ML Good ole' O.S.

and the exhaust header + the mounting plates. I'll check tonight to see what the mounting for the clutch looks like, I'm not sure if it has the same output shaft as this OS.

Thanks for the replies

Try to get a Rossi or a Sirio .26. Both have big time powerand will drop right in to a .21 sized mount

There is a fine line between 'Hobby

those are very nice engines but they also cost a lot of money and he said before he doenst want to spend a lot. I think that OS will do you just fine, its one of the most reliabe engines out there.

Thanks for the replys guys

I did a quick search for Rossi and Sirio. Ching Ching, I'd rather not spend that type of money thank you.............Bear in mind it's not my car, I'm just helping the guy out and just want to get it running again.

I did find this as a possible substitution........It's an Ofna force .26
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...04p?&I=OSMG2057

The OS and the ofna are about $130 each so I think I'll go for the OS as I know them and like them a lot.

Any further comments appreciated
