Hi guys,

I'm new to gassers and governors. My new Predgasser SE has the aluminum squirrell cage with magnet holes pre-drilled. My understanding is that I am to epoxy the magnets in, installing one "backwards" so that only one trips the sensor.

Is this the method of choice? Seems weird to epoxy metal to metal. Also, I've read some that some guys ditch the GV-1 sensor for an upgrade. The stock sensor is fine for awhile, isn't it?

Wow
FAA,

JB Weld is the one thing Futaba said NOT to use

Have you had good luck with the GV-1 sensor? When peopole say run the Stator Gator, does that just replace the sensor? or the whole GV-1?

Did I just waste $169 on a crappy gov?

You could, but you'd be doing yourself a huge favor and just install the stator gator now and be done with it.

Never go full retard!

Never a problem with JB weld.

My Raptor 60 and Raptor 90 are doing very well with the GV-1.

However, if I where to do it all over I would get the GSM revlock.

Thats what I will be using on my Predator gasser with the stator gator.

I reviewed the Gator on thier website. From what I can tell, I can install it at any point - connect to black engine wire, engine ground and GV-1.

So I can just skip the magnet step, order the Gator, and continue construction of the Pgasser, right?

Stator Gator
that is correct hook it up and forget it. and the best part is you don't have to re balance the fan hub.
