Have a look at the top of page 2. Sounds promising for our electric helicams.

The futur is in ELECTRIC-HELI!!

Not noise, not vibtration, not smoke...The battery cells are better and better, the camera video, photo,or movies becomes more and more compact and better. You can fly in door,...etc,etc,
If you start in helicam LOOK FORWARD start direct with battery!!!! Forget the "old"shool gaz or nitro engin.

Thanks for the link, Angelos.

I wish the article had more info, but I did notice the part about "Lower production costs".

That would be very nice to have an affordable alternative to Lipos(nothing against Lipos, just so darn expensive for large packs!)

Here is a different approach; LiPo's that recharge in 1 minute.

I wonder how much amps your fieldcharger should be

Never have had time to read all the info from this web http://www.evuk.co.uk/links/art2.html
but seems to be the new technology regarding nano anodes will have big influence in the new battery perfomances (cycle life, power output and charging time).

Oh great...
Now I am going to have to go "back" to fuel.

That methanol cell looks really cool.
Wonder how many amps it can produce?

Hey Elossam,

These fuel-cells are taking so long to get right, I'm starting to think they're not going to make it. Maybe they will get overtaken by normal battery technology in the mean time.

We can but wait and see what the boffins come up with. I wish they'd get their skates on
