I would like to use the the gyro config screens within my 8301 TX to setup my GY401 gain adjustments, currently i have it setup on my Gear switch, and just use ATV to set up the gain.
If i can use the gyro config screens i can change the switch to the Rudder dual rate switch.
Has anybody tried to do this and has it worked?

That is how I run mine, the 401 and now the 601 I am using.

I use the Gyro screen, works perfectly.

What percentages do you run at for heading hold and normal?

Can not remember the values for my 401 but:

On the Gyro screen 0% selected would be 100% normal signal to 401, 100% on gyro screen would be 100% heading hold signal to 401 and 50% on gyro screen is 0% to 401.

So if you want 80% in Heading hold the setting in Gyro screen would be 90%.
If you want 80% normal the setting would be 10% on Gyro screen.

Hope this help, also refer to the instruction leaflet, it has got a little bar graph with the settings for the futaba radios with gyro screens.

JR and Futaba ATV doesnt match that exact.
But it should be close, I think my 401 changed from normal to AVCS at somewhere around 53% in the gyro sens menu.

Thanks for the inputs guys, this will allow me to get my throttle back which had been taken over by my GV-1 on/off.
