Iam considering the Airtronics RD6000 super as my real first radio for heli's how ever i am finding it trouble some to as weather it is compatible with the Reflex XTR simulator.
I am set on getting the Reflex XTR and i am realy liking what i have read about the Airtronics RD6000 super a lot, I have been comparing the Futaba X radios mostly.
Does any one have any thoughts as to this subject of compatibility along with good starter radios.
Thank you.

I'm an FNG myself. I bought a scale Century Bell 47 and it came with the same radio. Since, I've added a couple other helis to the list and have programmed them into the radio as well.

I've been hearing a lot of people here saying that you should consider getting a radio with more channels. For what I'm doing the 6 channel is working out great. I'm sure I'll out grow it in time but that's what I ended up with and it still flies the heli.

If you haven't bought the radio yet then look at the 8000 Super over the 6000. If you have trouble figuring out how to program it let me know and I'll save you the time it took me to finally figure it out. A search here will also give you a lot of help as to how you set up the transmitter.

I see that the XTR sim offers a cord for Airtronics so I guess it should work. I'm using G2 myself.

I was also looking at the price range between the 6000 and 8000, about 40 bucks is all. A few of the forums I read also stated that they should look in to going with the 8000, welll believe I may as well, may not use them all soon, but in time i most probably
will
This is good to know that there is a cord for the aitronics, I have done a lot of studdying and researching for some time now, kinda getting down to the purchasing area soon, couple of months or so.
No great rush to get it all, 1st the radio and sim, this will keep me occupied till i get that paid for and save up some more.
.
I am greatly interested in the scale models of the Douphin HH-65A, it is the same as our Yaquina Bay Coast Guards helio that is stationed here from Coos Bay, from down the coast a bit. With all the home security these days, I have been taking steps to get authorization to photograph it in some what detail for a detailed rep. of it then not only build it but also put it in a sim model
.
Thank you for the offer to help set up the radio and as such, I have a feeling i just may be doing that
My abriviations are not all that great even though i use them more than i relize, you said that you are a FNG ?.
Take care. Thanks again !.
