When you go to drop the engine again you have to take the secondary shaft out to get the the belt off of the bell. Now I understand why the guy desigened the bell without the top flange on it. (don't ask why I had to drop the engine again) I guess that you can read between the lines and guess that I didn't squeeze the clutch in a little and after I put it back together the clutch grabbed both ways. AAAAAAAGH...like I haven't installed a new lining before or bell before. I also installed the Correct one way in it. The stock one has only 6 rollers in it ,and the correct one has 11 or 12 in it.
I'm all ready to fire it up and see how the thing will work out tomorrow ...if it ever quits raining!

You don't have to remove the counter shaft to get the belt off the clutch/fan to remove the engine. ( I assume this c30) if you push the belt off the drive pulley to relive tension you can slip it over the fan while turning it and drop the engine right out with muffler and all attached.

Then remove the fan screws and the fan and clutch bell will slip off as you drop the motor unless you used lock-tite to the fan. and re-install the opposite.

Now there is a good tip. That solves the problem. This is the first time that I had to drop the engine and at the same time I put the correct bell on and then had to take it back out.
Thanks 88 for the tip.
