All good points, I'm just curious if what's ideal for one person might not be ideal for somebody else. I'm colorblind (no I don't see black and white) Since I can't see from your eyes I can't really describe what the difference is. The world looks pretty colorful to me just apparantly different colors than everybody else...........I'm curious if the "Ideal" colors might be different, to a point, for everybody. I know red for me wouldn't work. I can see red just fine, I can see green just fine but put red in front of green a distance away and it disappears.

BTW - I just ordered this in flourescent yellow with the metallic blue in the back......what do you guys think? I'm actually torn between having the blue in the front and yellow in the back or vice versa......From what I see on everybody else's I think yellow would be better as the front color.....it's a tough choice without being able to see the colors on it.

Supertoyz,
I'm positive you are correct in saying what is great for one person is not necessarily great for another.
Something that I believe to be true, however, is that yellow seems to be the best base color as far as visibility goes. All other colors, including white, go to dark gray when backlit by the sun. Now I'm not talking about directly between the sun and the pilot, just backlit. The yellow seems to remain a visible color better towards dusk as well. Again, any florescent colors will do the same, but I'm speaking about basic colors.
I'm sure your choice of color on that canopy will be fine.

And what's it like on a grey British summer's day when it's about 500 yards away, recovering from a "rash" move/mistake? Can you still see which way its facing?

Go DAYGLO! Heli's DON'T have to be pretty they just have to be visible!
