Ignoring the predicatbly prattish behaviour from our clearly educated and articulate american friends, I would say the best advice is to learn to auto, as was suggested earlier. I'm new to all this heli stuff, but whenever I'm at my local flying site, all the pros routinely do a few autos just to keep them on their toes. Makes sense.

Fuel lines don't just "fall" off.

Helicopter models require that you do a bit of preventive maintenance and occasional inspections! If not, you will explose it again...

My two cents..

I love Raptors, but routinely caution newbies not to use the line that comes with the kit....Aertrend is widely available and the medium can replace every fuel line in the kit safely...

the same thing happened to me with my x-spec. The OEM clunk line sucks big time. Get the Hayes line as mentioned and place a small piece of fuel tubing on the both ends of the line. Raptors don't suck or are pieces of Shiet. You were just a victim of bad luck. Practice some auto's as mentioned also. Had the plug gone out on you would the engine and the heli still be a piece of crap? probably not.

You'd be better of using Twizzler's licorice for fuel tubing than using the stuff that comes with the kit.

Go to the LHS, they usually have a roll of the stuff to sell you by the foot.
Find a pretty color, pull on it, bend it then compare it to the tube in the kit.
You'll see what I mean.

Personally, I cut a short 2-3 mm bit of tubing and use it as a miniature
'rubber band' to hold the rest of the tubing on the nipples.
Stretch the mini rubber band with a pair of needlenose pliers, then slip
it over the tubing and slide it down a bit. Put the tube on on the nipple
then slide the mini rubber band to the end. It's damn near impossible
to pull off, you'll probably have to cut it if you want to remove it

good tip with the 2-3 mm of fuel tubing on the nipples to act as a rubberband, works good!
