I have a CC25 ESC and Futaba 9CHP Transmitter.
Is anyone using Thr-Cut on this kind of setup?
I basically want a switch defined to disable throttle for safetly reasons.
Which switch do people mostly use?
Do I have to enable this on the ESC too?

Thanks
Jeff

What’s the difference between throttle hold and throttle cut? Currently I’m using the throttle hold switch (G) on my 7chp. Should I use the throttle cut instead?

Thr-Cut was used to kill the engine after a flight as well as make sure the throttle was all the way down before allowing the engine to start again. Thr-Hold would hold the trottle in its current state regardless of it's throttle position after the thr-hold was activated.

I didn't know the transmitter could hold the throttle in its LAST POSITION by throwing a switch. I don't think my Futaba 9 CHP can.

Several of us have them and we set throttle hold to be idle. (for glow engines).

We use this to do autos.

Throttle cut closes the carb further and is used to kill a glow engine.

For the TRex I would recommend one switch had 10 or 15 % throttle for autos --- a bit of power for "cheating" (they dont auto so good [wood blades]). (Throttle hold).

A switch setting to cut all power, for safety, and for set-up. (Throttle cut).

Also you can make a flight mode with a 0-0-0-0-0 throttle curve. (idle up 3).

Or just set up what suits you !!!

Anyone who says it's a small world never tried to walk to Zimbabwe.

I use "hold" all the time with my Eclipse 7. Whenever I turn on the radio I make sure the throttle is down and hold is on, Works great for testing the pitch as well... There was this one time I was testng the pitch settings with throttle hold on. I had the throttle all the way up, had a brain fart and released the hold function....man these things go up REALLY fast! oh, did I forget to mention I was inside! DOHHHHH!!!!!

Futaba 9CHP Transmitter can't hold the throttle at it's current position by throttle hold swicth. But it can hold your throttle at your pre-setting position. I use this swicth for 3 functions, 1 for auto of my Rap, 2 for safety measure to prevent accidental movement of stick and 3 for setting or checking the pitch and all other servos movement without unplug the motor.

Thanks for all the feedback.
I setup Throttle Hold last night and all seems fine.
I did not end up messing with the Throttle Cut function.
