Hi Matt,

What RX and TX are you using? I've been through this, and had to carefully compare the paperwork for both RX and TX to get them to match. Check the web for manuals if you don't have them.

My JR 6102 uses channel 1 for throttle
channel 2 for ailerons (roll)
channel 3 for elevator (pitch)
channel 4 for rudder (yaw)
channel 5 unused
channel 6 for collective pitch (Z)

My Hitec something radio is different, whenever I go to another platform/radio/RX I have to relearn.

let us know how you make out,
Cheer,
Leslie

Hi Matt,

I have not been able to find any info on a protech zoom 5 channel mixer. Do you have a pointer to this rx? The futaba ff9 seems to be an awesome radio, so that not the problem, just have to match the ff9's outputs to the rx's inputs.

if you have any other info on the 5 channel rx, I'll try to help you cipher it out

Cheers,
leslie

thank leslie

The story so far,

i have got all the leeds in what seems to be the rightplace and i have made sure they are all operating in the right way, but i cannot get the motor to work,

this may be the battery needs charging, which i am going to do, (i only pluged in battery to test other servo's)

so i will report back, i dont like the reciever it seems ok for the hummingbird but i dont trust for it for the zoom,
what reciever would you recommend ? bearing in ming it has got to take futaba reciever crystals.

thanx a tonne again, if you ever fly IC i'll return the favour!

Hi Matt,

What are you using for an ESC (electronic speed controller)? Normally they arm themselves with the throttle off, you might try reversing your throttle channel.

I'm using a berg 6ch on my zoom and a gws 6ch on my hummingbird. I had some glitching problems using the gws, although rewiring that heli made all the difference in the world. The berg is supposed to be bullet proof, so a search on this board. General opinion is for the berg, so I opted for it.

Cheers,
Leslie
