I got a CC45 ESC in my eolo pro and I want to know how much people are using it in their heli, is it reliable? Does it ever happen to have it failed or cutout?

Thanks!

I have a Phoenix-45 in one of my Eolo’s and it works well. I have never had any cut-out or failure problems. The hardware is excellent and holds up very well – if you do need service you just send it in and usually get it back in about a week (and it’s usually repaired for free unless it’s crash damage). The only thing that could be better is the governor software – Kontronik has a better governor but the Phoenix governor does work fairly well. You can also download and load software updates for free.

The Kontronik Jazz may be a better choice because it has a high voltage ESC (18-cells or 5s LiPo). The Kontronik is harder to get repaired and software updated.

Thanks for this comment, I just had a problem with it and destroyed my eolo (think it's the internal BEC). I don't have plan for using hi-voltage in my eolo now. But something is bothering me, I use hi-gov mode and at only 40% I have about 2000HS, I have 3S lipo, C40 12T hacker (3500kV) on 16T, is it normal?

I can't speak for everyone but I had lockouts, glitching and all sorts of problems with my CC 45 ESC. I don't think the ESC is capiable of supplying voltage to the servos and gyro when using 3S2P lipolys. I switched to a Jazz and haven't looked back. The Jazz has a really butter smooth startup while the CC had a jerky startup that often made the blades hit the blade holders, it even nicked my blades from the force. Just my two cents!
