After the first charge I didn't check the cells, because my Schulze charged 42v and stop in a normal way (with balancers).

Today I flied just one minute and check the bad cell. 1.75v
Stop with this faulty pack and had a great time with the second pack.
A 15 minutes fly and 3.3A out...

At home, I tried again to charge the bad cell and my Schulze displayed 4.15. But just after disconnection, I read 3.85 on my multimeter.

I will write an email to Revo for the guarantee and return.

I begin to think Yan Henseleit lipo kit is a better solution.
If one cell is faulty, don't need to return the whole pack.
Just remove the heatshrink, unscrew and change.

Fred

This morning the bad cell displayed 0.25v on multimeter.
Loose 3.60v during the night.
I definitely don't try to do something with it and send it back to Revo.

I was just thinking the same thing, just got a 4s3p and a pair of 5s4p's of TP pro-lites, they have the balancing leads but all packs have 6 wires to a plug

Hi Fred H,

Many thanks for a very clear reply, which is very much appreciated!

Do you know what 'type' of connector block is used, so I can chase a safe plug in test probe adaptor?

Don't ya just love RR

Hi Simon,

My T.P. Packs are tucked away in the garage, so I can't do a photo or tell you the colours... but you basically start with the first pair of wires to read voltage for the first cell. Then move both test probes along just one wire and this will read the voltage for the second cell and so on. It is exactly the same for the secong block.

P.S: Where did you get the Pro-lites from & what price?

Hope this helps...

RussD.

Thanks Russ,

So it's the same as per Jans pack, you just move along one pin to check the next cell and so on. Been searching forums etc, and see TP do a special balancer that plugs straight onto the plug from the lipo does 2-10s, don't know where you buy them Tppacks don't list them ?

Got the packs from Sandown (WLM) he knocked a bit of the price as I bought 3 packs but I'm now skint

Just worked the price out, if I got them form TP direct I might of saved £10-£20

Hi Simon,

Good to hear you got a few notes of the packs from WLM!

As far as I am aware; TP.Packs.com no longer sells out of the US... so you made the right choice buying em at Sandown!

P.S: I don't think the cell balancer has been released yet... but I am not in the know on these things

Russ.

guys, i think tppacks will resume intl sales soon. gary goodrum posted this on logoheli.com:

"Actually, I will be re-enabling international sales this week. I finally got this figured out, so I can handle doing this remotely. At the moment, I'm in the middle of an Asian business trip (I'm in Singapore right now...). I had to have my wife create the shipping labels and doing this domestically is far easier, as PayPal has an automated tool. To do international shipments, I have to use the USPS' website, and manually cut'n-paste in the address info from the order. Trying to walk her through this, over the phone, 12,000 miles away, was, well let's just say a formidable challange! I now have figured out how to use the "Remote Assistance" function in MSN Messenger so that I can actually take control of the computer and print the labels."

Thank you Russ,

I use a Futaba charging cord. Need to remove the female plastic part.

The connector used by FlightPower are IDC type.
You can find it in electronic component shop.

Hello chaps

Here is a lead we do to analyse individual cell voltages. The instructions about how to analyse each cell are in the pack.

http://www.flightpower.co.uk/prodde...p?prod=4089403a

This lead fits all the FlightPower 5000s and the 10s5p 3DMP Pack

Cheers!
