i had traveled over 200km from my house to do this job and when i arrived there the day was windy and finnaly decided to do the job...
it was very hard to hover the heli in a stable possition and also it was a very cold day .... after 2 tanks (not gallons my mistake) and while i was hovering almost 30 metres above the ground i had a flame out the point is i still didn't figured y the engine from heli died ... anynways i tryed to land it with an auto and almost did it but the crash was hard enough to destroy my camera mount and the heli didn't had any losses but i have to start building again a new mount

anyways some from the pics i had this weekend from the site i took the pics and the heli cam had this flame out......

The good news is, no one got hurt!

I see a lot of noise in your images. What camera and what settings?

It looks like it was sunny day, you could probably have shot it at 1/1000 sec. and get sharper images.

At least your heli survived. And again, no one got hurt!

Those flame outs are scary. Don't you hate it when you can't find the cause? That sucks.

Sorry to hear about the hard landing but after 2 gallons the motor might have been a bit hot. 2 gallons is just about 7.8 litres and that would keep my Futurain the air for more then 3 hours. That must have been a though job!

hallo again while i arrived at the site i spoke with the manager and asked him if he could don't permit 2 the people to got out while i was flying so i think i took all the precaution i could take

sorry to hear of your accident, but like others have said it could have been a whole lot worse...... hope your back in the air and taking pics again soon, hopefully having found out and eliminated the cause of your flameout

New too r/c helicopters

Can you tell me what heli and camera you use? You see am just about to learn how to fly r/c helicopters and i want to take pictures. Did you build the camer mount your self?

i have a raptor 70 with a home made camera mount that i have designed several months ago i had to use the auto technique 3 times and had no problem but this last time i crashed my mount in about 70% the only thinks that still work are the electronic parts and the front side of the cam-mount (pan,tilt etc) because i had the hardest auto ever.
For a 1st timer i think is that u try to build if u can something ur own to see if this fits ur needs and afterwards to continue to these beautdifull mounts that guys from here are selling...

found the cause from the flame out...

for the 2nd time i had a cut tube from the exhaust....brrrr my mistake for the 2nd time....

Glad you have found the cause of the problem. Nothing worse than rebuilding and flying again without having found the cause. I've been there. It's not a good thing.

John: Sorry to hear about your mount, glad one body was hear and glad to hear you found the cause of the flame out.

In addition to your current post-flight checks, checking the fuel tubing in your fuel system should be added.

dear Pete and Dean sh*t happens i will add for sure in my check list the fuel tubes........
as concern about u dear Attila thnx for ur kindy words. so i use deferent kind of types for the aerials.
for pictures i use 2 deferent brands the one and my first ever is canon ixus v3 and the nikon D100 it's an SLR and for the film i use the Sony Pc330e and the DCR-HC-30e
